Bio: I have been fly fishing all my life, but it was not until I attend Western Carolina University in 1999 that fly fishing became not just a hobby but a passion. While at WCU I was able to log over 200 days on the water and learn the fine art of fly fishing from some of the best fly fisherman in Western NC. Today I live in Brevard, NC and I'm still learning and sharpening my fly fishing skills with my fellow NC Fly Fishing Team members. It is an honor to be part of a team with so many talented and competitive individuals and look forward to our teams continued success.

Nick Johnson
Age: 30
Nick learned the art of fly fishing on the headwaters of the Nantahala River. He spent almost everyday of his summer vacations while in school learning how to catch trout. Being in a cold mountain stream catching trout is like second nature to him. He was just recently introducted to the world of competitive fly fishing in the 2009 Rumble in the Rhododendron. Ever since then he has been addicted.
